Young Gunns to sign new deals, but where’s Theo?

ARSENAL are set to announce that five of their young stars have signed new contracts.

But Theo Walcott is not among them... yet.
Midfield ace Jack Wilshere leads the way, having agreed an £80,000-a-week, five-year deal, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kieran Gibbs, Aaron Ramsey and Carl Jenkinson have also accepted terms.
Manager Arsene Wenger hopes the statement of intent by the quintet, particularly 20-year-old Wilshere’s decision to pledge his future to the club, will convince contract rebel Walcott that his future lies at the Emirates.
Walcott, 23, got his wish to play through the middle in Monday’s 5-2 win at Reading, where he scored the last goal.
He wants Wenger to give him a regular run as the main striker.
But, equally, he believes he is worth more than the £75,000 a week currently on the table.

If Arsenal go to £85,000 a week he is likely to stay. Friends insist his preferred option is to remain at the club.
Twice-capped England left-back Gibbs, 23, had only 18 months of his deal to run, while Oxlade-Chamberlain, who joined in a £12million move from Southampton in August 2011, is rewarded for his progress with the Gunners.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, 19, went to Euro 2012 with England and has now won nine caps.
Welshman Ramsey has had a difficult time since suffering a double fracture of the right leg nearly three years ago.
However, Wenger still has a strong belief in the 21-year-old.
All three are believed to have agreed deals worth between £40,000 and £50,000 a week.
Right-back Jenkinson, 20, agreed a £32,000-a-week deal last month but it will be confirmed this week.
Wenger has told French full-back Bacary Sagna, 29, that if he is not happy he can go elsewhere.
