      UEFA Champions League knockout stage draw to take place this Thursday

      This Thursday, December 20th, Valencia CF will discover the identity of their opponent in the first knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League. The draw will be held from 11:30am at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, and the team will be pitted against one of five possible opponents: PSG, FC Schalke 04, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Manchester United.

      The first leg of the knockout fixture will be played at Mestalla between 12/20th February 2013 and the away leg between the 05/13th March 2013.

      Valencia CF placed second in Group F of the group stage after six matches, winning four and drawing one. The team scored 12 goals and conceded five. On points and goal average, VCF was ranked the fourth best of the 32 participants, only surpassed by PSG, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich. The club will be represented at the ceremony by  Minister Fernando Giner and Jordi Bruixola, Director of External and Institutional Affairs.
